Volunteers needed for Alzheimers
Walk and Run
October 8th & 14th
By Terry Mate

HELP!! This year there will be THREE Alzheimer’s Memory Walks that we have been asked to participate in.

On Sunday, October 8, there are two walks that need us. One is the walk/Run at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo which we will need 65 people to help out at 7 a.m. We need people there all day long but if you cannot stay all day or can only come in the afternoon when we need help in taking down and packing up (1:30-4 p.m.), we want you there, too. Also from 3 to 5 p.m., we could use a few masons (about 12) to help set-up the tent and registration tables at the Zoo.

Now there is a new Lorain County Walk at Vermilion High School (Woolybear Festival) also on Sunday, October 8th. We need 35 people there to help. The set-up time is 7 a.m.

The 3rd walk is in Lake County at Lake Erie College in Painesville on Saturday, October 14th. We need help there at 8 a.m. and should be done by 1:30 p.m.

The Alzheimer’s Association appreciates all of our assistance in the past and this year we need to give EXTRA SUPPORT!

You may volunteer by contacting the Scottish Rite office at
(216) 432-2370, Ron Ebert at (440) 225-4769, or
Terry Mate at (440) 997-9210.
