Valley Traveler' Update

The trip to Oglebay for the Holiday Lights on Saturday, November 25th is SOLD OUT!

The multi-day trip for 2001 is scheduled for the week of July 8, 2001. The itinerary we have chosen will take us to Johnstown, the site of four disastrous floods and Altoona which was founded in 1849 by the Pennsylvania Railroad during the construction of the first railroad over the Alleghenies.

A ride on Amtrak from Altoona around the Historic Horseshoe Curve to Johnstown is being planned. From here we will head east towards Lancaster region for visits to the Millennium Sight and Sound and Living Waters Theaters and Gettysburg area. The many details are being worked on and we hope to have a detailed itinerary, costs and reservation coupon in the January/February 2001 issue of the Scottish Rite News.

The fall trip for next year will be a one day trip to Lake Chautauqua, New York scheduled for Thursday, October 11th.

For all you shop-a-holics, we have a trip to the BIG Shopping Mall outside Grove City, Pennsylvania on Thursday, August 9, 2001. The 54 passenger coach has been reserved so we can take 54 shoppers, plus this coach has exceptionally large storage bays so you can shop til you drop. The cost will be a nominal sum for the coach. The rest of the day will be on your own.
